Objectives

Identify pollution risks and health hazards found inside the home and around the property. Learn more about better home and property management, and where to find additional information. Develop a plan to safeguard the health and well-being of the family, enhance the financial value of the home, and protect the enviornment from contamination.

Creating a Plan

Home*A*Syst is designed to safeguard you and your home. In order for you to take action, you must come up with a plan. First, evaluate your home, taking note of any concerns or problems in your home and anywhere on your property. Some possible problems include your drinking water, air quality or the presence of lead. Second, you must make your plan. You can use aids such as worksheets found in the Home*A*Syst Guidebook to help correct potential problems and learn more about managing your home. Finally, take action. Always start with the biggest problems first and work your way down until you and your home are safe.
