PPI will hold a compliance assistance workshop for metal finishers and electroplaters at the Sedgwick County Extension Office in Wichita on Aug. 29. In its inspections of these businesses, EPA is finding violations. This workshop should help these facilities achieve compliance standards before they are inspected.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment will present the regulatory requirements, but there will be time for confidential questions. Presentations will target the common violations found by regulators and give business operators what they need to know to be in compliance.
